Come and join us for an action-packed session of activities designed by the North Alabama Zoological Society to promote awareness of our Alabama Biodiversity & Ecosystems, Conservation & STEAM based curriculum, friends & fun. The campers will enjoy creative art projects, microhabitat hikes, team building games and activities, multiple hands-on science experiences, and lots of time outside enjoying Alabama at its best.

Camp Summary:

Your child will participate in a variety of fun activities designed by the North Alabama Zoological Society to promote awareness of our Alabama Biodiversity, Ecosystems and Conservation. 

NALZS Be a Little Wild are a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) camp full of activities like: coloring, puzzles, problem solving,  model building, painting, outdoor games, beginning chemistry, art projects, etc.

 

Recommend ages: Varies based on Camp (see above)

Deadline for each camp is 10 days prior to start of camp or until Camp capacity has been reached.

Camp Attire: Recommended: Pants, long shorts, capris, shirts with sleeves, closed-toed shoes (No short shorts, tank tops, halter tops, crop tops, flip-flops will be allowed)

Camp attendance is not guaranteed until camp is paid for in full.

Cell Phone use will not be permitted during the camp hours and they should remain in backpacks during camp activities. If there is an emergency camp staff will contact the parents or guardian directly.

(note: if you register your child for a camp outside their age level, the registration will be cancelled.)
 
Camp Dates Available: At this time, if you register for camps the payment will be sent by Square and is due within one day of registration.
Children who sign up for camp will be organized by ages/learning level. The camps may be divided into a 6-8 y/o session, a 9-11 y/o session, respectively. Siblings who registered for the same session will be put into the appropriate age ranges, Some exceptions may apply and is at the discretion of the camp staff and leadership.
